ICTSI Pakistan attracts new business

Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT), part of the ICTSI network, welcomed the inaugural call at the Port of Karachi for the China India West Coast X-Press (CWX) service recently. Operated by Feeders Xpress, KMTC and T.S. With the arrival of the 5,470 teu Barbara, one of six vessels deployed to sustain the service, which provides a fast and direct link between Central China and India West Coast/Pakistan, Lines, the fixed-day weekly service made its first call at PICT.

The service calls at the Chinese ports of Shanghai, Ningbo and Shekou; Singapore; Port Klang, Malaysia; Nhava Sheva, India; Karachi; Mundra, India; Colombo, Sri Lanka; Port Klang; and Hong Kong before returning to Shanghai.

PICT International Container Terminal (PICT) handles calls made by the newly launched service Pakistan-United Arab Emirates (PS2) in another business win. The operation, jointly run by Wan Hai Lines and Global Feeder Shipping, connects the Jebel Ali and Karachi ports and uses a single vessel with a nominal capacity of 1800 TEUs. The initiative supports the objective of PICT to provide its customers with increasingly frequent ties between Karachi and Jebel Ali.
