"Karobar Aitemad App" Introduced by Punjab Police to Track Criminal Records of Employees and Tenants - Startup Pakistan

In order to make informed decisions, the ‘Karobar Aitemad App’ was launched by the Punjab Police to help people monitor criminal records attached to the Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) of their employees and tenants.

Whenever, according to the statute, a person hires an employee or domestic assistance or retains a tenant, they are required to register them with the police so that the police have information about the individuals who live and work in a community.

In addition to allowing their criminal records to be tracked, the new application enables employers and landlords to securely register their employees and tenants.

Furthermore, the employer will be told of the criminal record via SMS, after which the police will follow up on it with the necessary measures.

Sohail Sukhera, who also serves as DIG Operations Punjab’s Punjab Police Information Officer (PPIO), told the media that entering the CNIC number of an individual in the application results in the fast show of information about their criminal records.

Sukhera said, the mobile app will be available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. For now, people are able to download it from the official Punjab Police website.
