On-demand streaming and original content production, RINSTRA, Pakistan’s first short-form digital media network, has been valued at a whopping $20 million. The importance has been set in light of the latest trend in the industry and the values of similar platforms.

The Netflix-like website not only offers streaming services on demand, but also provides a gateway for original content creators to broadcast their content worldwide to the Pakistani population. Their iRinstra program provides Pakistani content creators with economic opportunities.

The start-up has the potential to become one of the country’s fastest-growing digital platforms, according to a statement released on Thursday. For this sort of entrepreneurial initiative and digital space, there seems to be a huge demand. The platform supports original Pakistani content and encourages imagination in the country’s youth. Getting this sort of forum makes it easy for these developers to share their content with others around the world. RINSTRA also gives the creators a larger share of the revenue generated.

In Pakistan, there have been other such applications, but none of them are comparable to the visibility and revenue cuts of RINSTRA.

Not only does the start-up offer a platform for young artists to flourish and show off their talents, but it also commissions content alongside established names such as Haseen Moin and Mehreen Jabbar.
