Investors from Uzbekistan willing to invest in Pakistan

Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, governor of Punjab, visited Uzbekistan with a business delegation, including Gohar Ijaz, head of APTMA.

During the tour, investors from Namangan Province in Uzbekistan revealed plans to invest in Punjab’s textile and other sectors. They also ensured that Pakistan would be provided with complete technical assistance to increase the production of cotton.

On the invitation of Governor of Namangan Shavkat Abdurrazakov, the Punjab Governor, along with Gohar Ijaz, Head of APTMA, Fawad Mukhtar-Chief Executive of Fatima Industries Company, Businessman Ahsan Bashir, President of Uzbekistan-Pakistan Trade and Cultural Center Lahore-Rohail Ikram, visited Namangan Province of Uzbekistan.

High-ranking officials from Uzbekistan and representatives of the Pakistani community warmly welcomed Governor Mohammad Sarwar and his delegation.

In honor of Governor Punjab and to demonstrate unity with Pakistan, the Pakistani flag was also raised at the Three Fountains Square in Namangan District, adjacent to the Namangan Governor’s Office, along with the Uzbekistan Flag.

The Governor and his delegation visited the Uzbekistan Business Forum during the visit and met with expert delegations working in the fields of textiles, health, agriculture and trade.

There was debate on topics related to improved cooperation and trade between the two countries.

Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar, accompanied by the delegation, also called on his secretariat to name the Governor of Namangan-Shavkat Abdurrazakov.

Governor Abdurrazakov appreciated Pakistan’s role in building stability and eradicating the region’s terrorism. He also agreed to pay a visit to Pakistan soon, at the invitation of Punjab Governor Mohammad Sarwar.
