Pak Suzuki Beats Kia and Toyota on Sales of Cars - Startup Pakistan

Once again, Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) took the lead in sales volume, having sold 9,013 vehicles in January 2021, posting a 19 percent rise in month-on-month (MoM) sales and a 62 percent increase in YoY sales.

The Toyota Yaris remained the best-selling car, with nearly 3,000 units sold in January 2021. Toyota Corolla, on the other hand, lost half of its revenues (56 percent). Only 1,525 Corollas left the showroom in Jan 2021; the total was 3,445 in Jan 2020.

Honda sold 2.063 City and Municipal units, 10 percent more than the 1,878 units sold in Jan 2020. Suzuki delivered 364 Swift units in Jan 2021. Compared to 144 units sold in Jan 2020, the number grew by 153 percent.

According to the statistics collected and shared by Topline Securities, the auto sector registered a remarkable 17,515 vehicle sales in January 2021, which is up by 46 percent compared to sales in January of last year.
