First-Ever Research Center of Intercropping at IUB has been officially approved in Pakistan - Startup Pakistan

According to a study published by the China Economic Net, Pakistan’s National Research Centre for Intercropping (NRCI) has been officially approved for establishment at Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB).

According to reports, this research centre will be Pakistan’s first national research centre dedicated to intercropping technologies.

Prior to this, Pakistan lacked an intercropping national research centre. This is the first centre that is supposed to be associated with China’s main agriculture laboratory, which is being developed by Sichuan Agricultural University. This university has an intercropping research centre where studies on soybean and maize are performed.

Chinese are involved in this project due to their extensive experience and knowledge of the sector and its technology. Additionally, it is learned that 25 acres of total land has been officially designated for the centre in Pakistan.
