Hasan Faraz has been named Maersk Pakistan’s next Managing Director, effective March 1, 2022.

Hasan joined Maersk in 2002 as part of the Maersk International Shipping Education Program (MISEP) (MISE). Since then, he has worked for Maersk in a variety of capacities and on projects in Pakistan, Denmark, the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, and the United States of America.

Hasan returned to Pakistan with extensive cross-functional experience and skills after various expatriate jobs and working on projects around the world, and was later appointed the Country Manager of Safmarine in Pakistan. Hasan joined Maersk as Head of Customer Experience in 2019 and has since played a critical role in shaping and executing a robust growth strategy in Pakistan.

“I am ecstatic to promote Hasan to the position of Maersk Pakistan Managing Director and to welcome him to the West and Central Asia leadership team.” Richard Morgan, Managing Director, Maersk West, and Central Asia, stated, “His 20 years of experience with Maersk across various functions and business units will be of great benefit to our business in Pakistan.” “I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank Aruna for her invaluable contribution to the transformation of business in Pakistan,” he continued. She was in tune with the market and its clients, and she lay the groundwork for Maersk’s future in the country.”

From March 1, 2022, Hasan Faraz will take over the new role. “Maersk has been my family for the past two decades, and it is a source of great pride for me to assume the role of Managing Director in Pakistan,” he said. We’re at a tipping point that will define tomorrow’s logistics, and I’m excited to be a part of it.”

A.P. Moller – Maersk is a container logistics company that works to connect and streamline the supply chains of its customers. The corporation operates in 130 countries and employs around 95,000 people as the global leader in shipping services.
