Fly Jinnah, Pakistan’s newest low-cost carrier, unveiled its visual brand identity.

The brilliant red of ‘Fly Jinnah’s’ visual brand identity, with its brand name abbreviation ‘FJ,’ depicts the airline’s young and modern spirit, while the logo and brand identity, with its unique font and round-shaped sign, reflects motion and continuity. Ambition – providing true value to customers and connecting communities around the world; Sincerity – honesty and willingness to achieve and grow while striving to improve; and Inventiveness – developing innovative solutions while remaining focused, practical, and efficient are the company’s brand values.

The aircraft livery for ‘Fly Jinnah’ is inspired by the logo and the brand ethos, and it symbolizes a modern airline that is striving, energetic, and always on the move.

‘Fly Jinnah’ is Pakistan’s fourth private national airline, established to contribute to the country’s economic growth by creating new jobs and supporting core sectors such as tourism and hospitality. It is majority-owned by Pakistani citizens who are also sponsors of one of Pakistan’s leading and most diversified business conglomerates, the Lakson Group.

“The reveal of ‘Fly Jinnah’s’ visual identity was chosen carefully to reflect the evolution and progression of aviation needs in Pakistan,” said Iqbal Ali Lakhani, Chairman of Fly Jinnah. ‘Fly Jinnah’ is intended to benefit not only Pakistan’s aviation industry, but also the country’s infrastructure, tourism, business travel, and job generation. Fly Jinnah will be a driving force behind the country’s economic development.”

“We are proud to have Air Arabia Group, the Middle East and North Africa’s first and largest low-cost carrier (LCC), as our minority partners in this venture, and we are confident in the quality of services our customers will receive,” he added. The cooperation with Air Arabia Group will assist us in realizing this objective by sharing the experience and skills of one of the world’s most well-known low-cost airline operators. A significant goal of our relationship with the Air Arabia Group is to develop and upskill local human resources in the field of aviation.”

‘Fly Jinnah’ is in the process of receiving its local air operator’s certificate (AOC), which would enable the airline permission to fly flights once it is completed. The airline will be based in Karachi at first, servicing a variety of internal flights throughout Pakistan before expanding its network abroad.

“The aviation industry is an economic engine and a crucial sector for sustainable development,” Lakhani said. Aviation investment has tremendous social advantages since it offers our inhabitants reliable access to air transportation, which improves their quality of life. We’re eager to boost domestic service frequencies and create more direct flight connections between Pakistani cities and the rest of the world. As a private Pakistani airline, ‘Fly Jinnah’ was founded to achieve this goal while realizing the potential that exists in improving Pakistan’s air transportation sector.”

In Asia and the Pacific alone, air travel supports approximately 30 million jobs and USD 684 billion in GDP. Countries in Asia and the Subcontinent are focused on aviation as a catalyst for economic progress, enabling domestic and international connections while also providing significant employment opportunities.

Joint ventures in the aviation industry have shown to be effective around the world and are becoming more widespread. In a typical JV, a parent airline business owns a minority stake while local investors possess the majority, combining local knowledge with world-class aviation competence. Almost every country in the world has the same FDI policy in aviation, allowing up to 49 percent foreign ownership. By introducing international expertise, know-how, and training standards into the local market, JVs deliver enormous social benefits to human capital through knowledge transfer and the development of local talents.

In September 2021, Lakson Group and Air Arabia Group announced their intention to launch a joint venture airline in Pakistan. ‘Fly Jinnah’ will operate on a low-cost business strategy, providing a dependable operation and a value-driven product to its customer base. In due course, more information on the debut date, fleet, and destination network will be released.
